@teddyluv24 I always thought it was more about his girlfriend at the time, and their relationship. They were engaged, and he was always on tour. So they said I love you, but literally could not look into each other's eyes. And the idea of her letting go is terrifying to him.
Of course, they've broken up since then, which is sad. I guess it wasn't all smooth from there.

I know Relient K is a christian band,

Haha. I know.
Not every one of their songs are about God/Jesus.
A lot of their songs are based on life.
This one's about how a lot of couples get married and whatnot, even though they can't say I love you and be honest about it.
It's a Life Parody thing. :)

Alrighhhht. So here's the thing.
I'm sure you know it's 11:50 long. Youtube would let met upload 10mins.
So I had to cut the beginning and end out because there's silence. now it's 10:46
