Hello, firstly sorry for not replying to the comments. I usually get an email when someone comments one of my videos but I haven't been getting them for this video.

The camera angle makes it tricky to understand what is going on between 26 seconds and 28 seconds so I'll explain it and it should make sense. There are two tracks one below the other. The top track is slopes down away from the camera and the bottom slopes down towards the camera. When the ball drops from the top track to the bottom track it rolls up the bottom track for a short time and then starts rolling down.

There is a ball on the video that stops rolling... it shouldn't have! I never noticed this as it doesn't normally happen. Another ball simply nudges it and it starts again strictly behaving the Laws of Gravity.

Exploring the use of magnetic ball bearings is tempting with bamboo Rolling ball Sculptures but I am currently focusing on metal ones - which obviously wouldn't work so well!

Eventually I'll add the high quality version of the video to my website but in the meantime there are good photos of all my bamboo stuff.
