BOYCOTT BUFFY THE MOVIE!

As a very passionate fan of BtVS I have posted this video voicing my anger at Hollywood's decision to reboot a great series without any input from the original creator.

My message to Buffy fans is BOYCOTT THE MOVIE. Don't contribute to this movie's box office when it comes out! Do everything you can to STOP people seeing it! Ensure it earns paltry amounts at the box office so Hollywood LOSES money and won't butcher this franchise anymore.

BTW - I LOVE SMG. More than you can know. It sounds like I'm making digs at her with this vid but I'm just being honest about her post-BtVS career.

I agree with you. This will suck a lot. For those who cant help to watch this for the sake of curiosity, dont pay for it. Download it instead! they wont make money that way!

this is all fucked up!! i can already see "failed" written all over it! If the movie will not include joss whedon and sarah michelle gellar, it is going to be a flopbuster! this is really really sad news. How can someone take away buffy from its creator! Im really afraid of how this buffy will be-- slutty? OMG!!! noooooooo!!!!!!

one thing for sure, since i've been watching this topic trend in twitter, i didnt see a positive feedback, so i guess buffy fans wont watch at all.

@kcboni21 She probably will be slutty. One of the things that annoyed me about the release was them saying Buffy will be as "sexy" as she ever was. Buffy as a character was never a sex symbol, though SMG obviously is because she's so beautiful. But even SMG said the thing that makes Buffy relatable is that she isn't the smartest or "the prettiest girl in school".

What's the bet in the new movie she's portrayed as some cliche cleavagey slut-bomb typical superheroine in spandex?

I am a huge fan too, SMG is the only person who can portray Buffy. I feel, that seen as Joss and other Buffy actors are not impressed by the idea, they should make a blockbuster themselves, continuing from where the series left, with all the cast and writers who should be doing this. They should make the movie, and release it the same week as Franwhathisface's one, then I wonder, which one the fans would go see. I know I'd go for Gellar.

I don't know that it would make all that much sense to make a Buffy movie continuing from "Chosen" seen as there is already a continuation in comic form. That said, I'd obviously WAY rather see Joss' BtVS on the big screen than the catastrophe this is bound to be,

Dude! You are totally right!!! It's gona suck so bad. The cast and Joss made Buffy and I said the exact same thing that all fans should boycott the movie. No way will it be anywhere near as good as the series! The only reason Hollywood is pushing for it it becuz all these new vampire programmes like tru blood and the twilight films have bought a whole new fan base to vampy tv. It will all just be about the money like you said. Old buffy and Angel all the way!! <3 Willow+Tara and Cordy!

@carruthersmichael someone named roven who's one of those reboot people said that they are doing this reboot because they know that buffy fans are very eager to see her back. true,though,but not the crappy 1992 movie buffy.

I've been to blogs and fanforums and not a single one,im not exaggerating this,NOT ONE is giving this shit a positive feedback.
