Picked this knife up at the Pawn Shop here in town and just love it. It's my first out OTF Auto. This knife was made June 2004 or so it says in the blade. The Blade is made with S30V steel, weight is only 3 7/8" It has a glass breaker on the butt of the handle. Enjoy this video.

  • Wow what are the odds of finding a Microtech in a pawn shop! Nice going. Just some info for you, those screws are indeed unique. They are tri-wing bits pretty much only used by Microtech. Yes they offer a set so you can perform maintenance tasks on the knife (like replacing that sorta worn spring). Believe it or not, it's not a scary mess of parts inside. It's just the blade and a simple slide with two springs. There is a video of someone taking apart the knife if you would like to see it.

  • Thanks for the info, If I ever decide to change out that spring I will look it up. Thanks again!

  • one question: does the knife have any practical application other than what can't be achieved with a $3 knife from a stationary shop?

  • I tried buying a cheap knife from wal-mart. Take a look at my Ozark Trail knife video.

  • The "bug" on the pocket clip is a Scarab. It is a beetle and was the most popular amulet of ancient Egypt. In ancient Egyptian myths, the sun god Ra rolls across the sky each day and transforms the bodies and souls of the dead. The dung beetle rolling dung across the sand was seen as a symbol from the heavens. This similarity to Ra is what makes the Scarab so popular and such an iconic image in Egyptian culture. Thought you might find it interesting! Great video and cool knife!!

  • Nice piece of history thanks!

  • Is a B pronounced as D in the deep south? I've also heard R pronounced as L... really weird

  • Hey youknow the bug on the clip, it's called a scarab beatle. Its a bug from the middle east that works as a decompostion bug, it eats the dead bodies to survive. lol And the design for the screws is a radioactive design meaning toxic. Have a great day!

  • a 100 dollars?? was that used or what?

  • i thought your scale was your computers router at first!

  • scaraB
