  • The biggest secret behind Tom's sustain is in the pick ups. They are Seymour Duncan Metal Live Wires.

    I use the same ones in my guitar and they RULE! The sustain never stops!

  • oh and feedback from the amp.

  • gain, compression, heavy gauge string (maybe), heavy woods on the guitar...

  • it's not EMG's, they're carvin's passive pickups with the active tone controls, you can tell from the switches and the pickups. He's probably got a compressor or something on. I may be wrong, but i'm 99% sure of the pickups.
