this video is inaccurate. Specter was a Democrat when he ran for Senate in 1980. He has stated that he wanted to "moderate the Republican party." He did not change his party affiliation officially until AFTER he was elected to the GOP. Check you facts Media Matters before you lie. He was a democrat in republican clothes...barely.

This is a common feature of the Republican party over the last 10 years. By coddling the Religious Right and Gun-Toting nuts, they are alienating the more socially evolved (I mean intelligently designed) portions of society.

Might want to check your history of Nazi Germany and Hitler on how he came into power. The politics are incredibly similar and the results will be the same.
