If America really puts as much backing into alternative energies, we could be leaders in the field and set a positive example to the world. If we are stubborn and sit back, some other country will succeed in doing this, and we'll be in the same place we are now being at the mercy of another country and their supplies.

We can't afford to have these companies outsourcing jobs to other countries anymore. They are just trying to make their money at the expense of American workers because there are no consequences for it. Go Barack. And I can't believe those machinists had to train the Chinese workers that were taking their jobs... what a kick in the nuts!

I understand why you may think nuclear energy is the way to go, but you should realize that while nuclear energy seems to be a clean way to distribute huge amounts of energy, it is also a very dangerous answer to a problem that we have the capacity to solve more creatively. Nuclear energy is the one power source that simply CAN NOT have any accidents. It takes double the crew and 40 years just to close one down, and then there's the $64,000 question: What do you do with the spent nuclear fuel?
I just love this man! Anyone who says he doesn't have substance in his speeches has never listened to him! We have to get out from under the boot of Big Oil, and Obama will help us do that!
Vote Obama 2008!

It's amazing how poor our economy has been under George Bush. I just turned 18 and have struggled in finding even minimum wage job opportunities at places like McDonalds. We need Obama in office. If people want to get back to work please join everyone in helping people register to vote and donating to the campaign!
