If you think storytelling is just for children - then think again!

Imagine this for a scenario.

Just imagine, that for some inexplicable reason that you cannot for the life of you recognise the face of your spouse or unbelievably the faces of your children and people that you have known for many, many years.

On top of all that, imagine at the same time that you forget how to read!

Words on the page - squiggles!

If you think this sounds like a living nightmare - then you'd be right.

This is exactly what happened to Sharon Richards, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist from Sale, about 10 years ago.

She discusses with Heather Stott on BBC Radio Manchester how it all came about and how storytelling helped her overcome this terrible affliction.

Listen to Sharon's story, because amazing as it may sound you could enhance your own memory with the use of stories and some simple storytelling magic.

Sharon now runs workshops helping other people improve their lives: http://www.success-stories-at-work.com/
