Psalms 14:1 - there is no one who does good....Luke 18:19 -No one is good except God alone. Romans 5:8 - God demonstrates His love for us in that yet while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Your right about religious institutions, man made doctrine can't save us....only the blood of Jesus. For the wages of sin is death but the gift from God is eternal life through Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Him. I speak the truth in love.

Institutional Christianity's zeal for God is based on Calvinism/Augustine doctrine of original sin.Its a shame that both this doctrine and political socialism removes personal freedom and responsibility. Powerful people inside religious institutions and civil governments want power and control over people both for profit and a uncontrollable drive for tyranny. Calvinism/Augustine doctrine wants and created doctrine to cripple and deceive the mass'es into believing they cannot willingly be good!
