  • I was thinking perhaps you could open the top of the ziplock turn the bag inside out over your pan leaving one hand inside of the (formerly the outside of the bag) and do your work with your hand protected by the ziplock, less mess maybe?|!?

    what do you think?

    Just a thought

  • Clip the bottom corner of the bag and squeeze it into the pan.....no fuss, no muss.

  • How much water?

  • I had one of those army surplus mess kits when I was in the boy scouts. Memories of camping trips - wonderful !

  • Amazing, you are a really good cook and I am very pleased you decided to share you skills and tips with youtube.... Thanks : )

  • Nice! I have a round black non stick mess kit that I use for baking. Right now it's in the oven with some corn bread batter. It works great. If I have enough oil in the batter I don't need to worry about things sticking. I showed my friend how to bake in a mess kit. When his corn bread was done he put half in his 1960's GI mess kit. The bread was a perfect fit for the end of the mess kit. I have a stainless steel GI style mess kit on it's way, I can't wait to try it out.
