What _is_ real? How do you _define_ real? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

of course he experienced finger. because blood is circulating in it, has internal pressure, neural sensations, etc. When you happen to sit on your leg for a long time, it becomes numb for few minutes, because blood is not circulating there normally. Then only you can say that you doesn't feel your leg, or whatever other part of body.

A wonderful direct way to experience without an ego.

@andthereisntone Thanks George - scientifically what you say is correct - ask a non-scientist to simply report what is felt and you will find that folks who do not scientifically analyze this experiment only experience the 'idea' of a finger... even if they say that they feel the blood circulation and neural sensations that you mention then what they are experiencing is sensations that they mentally represent as a finger - in all cases there is no actual experience of a finger. ~ James
