The UN's flagship carbon offset scheme, known as the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), is being criticised amid claims it is ruining livelihoods and failing to tackle climate change. The Ecologist Film Unit met villagers in central India who are being displaced to make way for the Reliance coal power project, which will generate millions of pounds in carbon credits.
