It was the sound of silence when we arrived to the preschool this morning. A zen moment. Sheer simplistic beauty. I am relieved to be able to have my daughter stay with the preschool through nap time. Whoever made the decision to stop the construction I commend you. Thank you very much for considering our basic need for peace and quiet. We are crossing our fingers that this will continue.

Despite the change in cleaner burning fuel there is air pollution from the pile driving. Dust, dirt and who knows what else is rising up and falling onto the preschool. Also, as of yet no attempt to install noise abatement materials to cut the the loud, powerful noise from the pile driver and the noise reflected off the glass buildings. This constant pounding every second is stressful and not conducive to learning and normal development for toddlers! Stop the construction!

Just received a phone call from Mr. Kolonian, consultant to the construction, who informed me that as of today the fuel for "pile driving" has been changed from diesel to a synthetic clean burning fuel. Great news! Now need to deal with noise issue.
