  • Just some formal education for the morons:

EVERY life form that doesn't do photosynthesis or similar chemical processes to feed is a parasite in the biological sense. Every animal that consumes plants is a parasite.

And "the planet" doesn't give a damn about any life one way or the other.

The machine analogy is equally idiotic. By that logic why would eco-idiots care about whales? They are easily replacable for the rest of the biosphere by other animals.

What's important TO US(!!!) is humans.

  • If you hippies really believed that, you would OFF YOURSELF! In fact, I invite you to do so.

  • Absolute fools. If we are so unimportant then why do we exist for one and if people like that think we are nothing more then parasites for the earth, then go home if they have one, place an order for some cyanide pills and end it all right there. Human progress is in our nature and most of us do not want to destroy the planet. In time we will find better solutions but if capitalism and a free market is not allowed to bring in innovation and freedom then we will never find better ways.

  • lol. stupid, dumb, hippy scum

  • A perfect demonstration of how the "rebels" are the most ardent conformists. "Humanity is not the most important, just the most successful." In other words: People were stigmatized with the need to 'ruin' the environment in order to live, and our ability to overcome that stigma isn't our glory, but our sin. Our sin is our lives. Original Sin. Full Circle.

  • These guys don't actually know about our 3 billion year heritage of biological life. All organisms are self-interested. It isn't about "giving back" or "putting back" value, never has been. All of those other organisms that you are so afraid about "shoving off" don't give a shit about you in kind.

  • What are they saying about the parasites? Are they going to try to get rid of all the parasites? I have heard this nonsense being spewed by college professors. The grand sum of all their babbling is that humans, of all species, least deserve to live, except for environmental scientists of course, who need to stick around to make sure nature remains in 'balance'.

  • Good point @scepticsteve. If we're parasites, at least we're intelligent enough to create and improve the world. This guy, like most OWSers, needs a lesson in both history and economics. I don't advocate these people kill themselves, though. Just think of all the entertainment we'd be missing out on!

  • Wow, Why not just kill your self i you believe that? It would be the Altruistic thing to do.

  • The government school system has done a wonderful job in making people hate their own existence. They do need to have a real education in what comes first: Carbon? or the rise in temperature?. Carbon is not responsible for the rise in temperature.

The reality is that we are experiencing global cooling. Another example of brainwash can make yourself feel warmer when the temp is dropping.

  • @356pla If we took humanity off the planet, would the great apes be left the most exploitive, or would it be another species? Wouldn’t your code require you eliminate the new most “parasitical”?

This mans' lack of thinking says the best thing to do ...for the planet ...is to eliminate the most exploitive species.

To save the planet from exploitation, where would be the right place to stop making species extinct?

    .

    Reality, Reason, Self, Consent.

  • @mitochondria24 Me too, and I understand I need to put some energy into life somewhere, if I want to prosper.

All that is demanded of any of us by my ethical standard is, that we don't get greedy and expect the unearned. In a social context, i.e. man to man, if you don’t want to rightly earn the label ‘parasite’, you need to NOT take more than you’ve earned, through honest efforts and in dealing with other men ...your equals before the law
