  • He'd better have me up on my heels and my momentum rocking forward by the time both his knees touch the ground because if he has me or any other skilled fighter with their heels under them at that particular point it's lights out for him, straight choke!

  • @Phlyy788 We usually only do this throw in slow motion.

  • no, which is why you want to make sure you get your butt deep between his legs, collapse, roll then tripod.

  • I would like to see more throw vids. This one is excellent

  • I'll have alot more comming soon....

  • ahh so you Jujitsu guys use Judo-and judo groundwork?

you see judo newaza is just as strong as BJJ likewise for BJJ just depends who using it

  • It might have somthing to do with me being a 4th Dan in Judo too =)

  • Judo+Jiujitsu like peanut butter and jelly

  • seems that judo and bjj are combining to create something similar to traditional jujitsu anyway....

  • @Phlyy788 If you were a skilled fighter you'd understand that if this was done with full force, at full speed, you'd hit the floor before you even get a chance to think "straight choke".

  • @Phlyy788 Lol you've never been thrown by a Judoka my friend.

  • Nice nice throw

  • @10thPlanetRochester Is it OK to use nogi techniques even if your opponent has a gi on? I just started judo at a traditional school but I've been wondering if nogi techniques are permissible.

  • But the other can set his hooks and go for rear naked choke before he could be thrown off right?

  • @judopathoftruth judo groundwork is pretty much the same as BJJ... the only difference is that in Judo, you don't necessarily have to submit your opponent, you can just pin him down for a good 25 seconds and your done... whilst in BJJ, you don't have that 25 second rule... just my two cents... =)

  • @darksharingan723 nope, bjj is based completely on groundfighting and submissions

  • Awesome stuff! Thanks! Love techniques setup off that overhook - it seems really easy to get (at my level at least) because everyone is going for underhooks.

  • 25secs, that was a very campcrossing of the leg. point you toes now children

  • are judo throws taught on bjj?
