I have listened to this so many years but now I think I figured out something (dunno if it's true)

she actually was struggling since the beginning. I dunno whether the track, herself or back singers who sang the wrong part.

she was clearly wasnt lip-sync. only that as a Diva, the "stop singing my part now, baby" happened when she sang the part earlier "ooohhh touch my baby". noticed she hit it twice b4 n after "stop singing my part now, baby"

well, she was a truly diva so what? hehe :-)

I love how she says ''Stop singin my part now baby'' trying to make it

look like her back-up singer sang her part when it clearly sounds like her voice.

I bet she was thinking, damn it now I have to sing this shit live AHAHA.

Poor Mariah she was struggling to sing the high notes!

It wasn't the backup singers. It was the play back, it was malfunctioning. So she had to sing the whole song live which was AMAZING! See Mimi, you don't need to lip!

Just to add to what I wrote she doesn't always back up singers. But her vocals are weak here so maybe she was planning on lip synching the whole performance.
