i did this on march 23 2008 on a Schecter bass, Stiletto Series, Studio 5 model (tuning CGCF, ignore the low B string). this is me playing "not falling" by mudvayne. i did all this in garage band and iMovie HD on my macbook pro using a presonus firebox digital audio interface. i lowered the bass frequencies from the actual album track and inserted mine on top. there are a few bumps in it which piss me off but this is ryan's bass line almost exactly. i think it is one of the most gorgeous bass lines ever written to be honest. it is arguably my favorite bass line of all time. the fact that he thought to write it this way on top of all that is going on is sheer genius. i have been listening to this song for years and i am still not over it. enjoy the beautiful madness that is ryan martinie/mudvayne.

  • You're good mate, one thing though, the music is pretty loud and drowns you out, Ihad to really concentrate to hear you over the track. I'd prefer to hear mainly you and have the track as a backing to be honest.

  • YOU sir, Have some fucking skill. I only wish I could posses HALF of your skill. Let alone Ryan's

  • God man... you are good... hugs from Brazil

  • I've always thought he was the more prog influenced of the group.

  • @Andrewbattah wow your simply amazing dude, my next bass is going to be a schecter how much did that one cost to buy. nice playing and keep going.

  • @Goosinator420 - I do enjoy Ryan's bass playing, and think for metal he has among some of the most complex bass lines... But he and flea are very far from the best bassists in the world. Do yourself a favor and start listening to Victor Wooten, Stanley Clark, Larry Graham, and Jaco Pastorious. It's jazz, so if you only listen to metal and think all other music sucks, you will be missing out. 15 years ago I thought Fieldy was the best bassist ever, then I listened to Victor and it all changed

  • I do play it a lil different but sounds the same. I start off 10/99999999 4x

  • This is by far one of the hardest songs to play on the bass. I could do play this pretty good, it just hurts. Ryan from mudvayne and flea from chili peppers are arguably the two best bassist. There songs got the most brutal tabs.

  • it hurts from watching wow ur badass

  • 7sloth has nothing on this guy

  • wow!!!!! that just corrected the way i was trying to play it

  • Would you by chance have the guitar pro for this? bassline is amazing!
