2 mexican dances for marimba

a sloppy run through of the second movement of the 4 mallet piece on marimba, for a music honor society concert. i played it much better at solo and ensemble haha (ignore the missing notes and sloppyness of it) i decided to spruce it up by adding a little 'flair' at the end.

Ah, típico de americano. La obra está realmente muy mal tocada. No me refiero a las notas erradas, sino a que por suerte hay una gran diferencia entre interpretar una pieza y tocar las notas una detrás de otra. Pero claro, la piernita levantada hace estallar al publico. Al fin y al cabo eso es lo que importa, no?

Si tienes razon al final lo que importa es lo que se transmite y por l que se escucha a la gente le gusto... la primera vez que lo vi no me gusto ahora tampoco pero te entiendo congratulations!! jajaja good luck..

para mi no sirve nada, ni el chistecito al final para salvar la pieza,cae mal. no tiene sentido,estudiaste mas como levantar las piernas que las mismas notas, dinamicas y tempo en la propia partitura. supongo que lo te falta es madurez, porque tecnicamente puedes tocar la pieza muy bien; solo pienso que es muy importante lo que esta escrito me parece un insulto al compositor y a lo que la obra representa. escribe algo donde no importen las notas ni las dinamicas y puedas levantar la piernita.

i did the under the leg to please the crowd, that was the point. i wasnt performing this for a bunch of musicians that know everything about music and musicality, i played it for parents and students at the school i go to. they dont give a damn how musically i play it, they just want something entertaining, and thats what i gave them.

well, i think u did bad ass and the leg thing is good, its like u said, its your interpretation and ur pleasing the audience, its not a competition. Keep on playing man ! Y no sean racistas todos ustedes, tocen la pieza mejor y si no les gusto pos nimodo. Siempre tiene que ver un tonto que se dice, pues no me gusto entonces voy a decirle que toco mal. De eso no se trata. Gente sin idea musical.

people need to stop being so damn critical... accuracy doesn't make a piece memorable or good, it doesn't put any feeling into it, it doesn't show you the person is loving what they are doing... it makes it accurate :| analyzing every piece you hear someone play is not you being smart, its you losing the sense of what music is ACTUALLY about... so get a grip and just fucking enjoy the sound!!!
