Bernie Goldberg: Obama Wants Birther Controversy To Continue

On "The O'Reilly Factor," Bill O'Reilly suggests Lou Dobbs should "shut up." But Bernard Goldberg, like O'Reilly before him, says CNN should not fire him. In fact, Bernie has a theory:

"The Chicago Mafia inside the White House want to keep this controversy going... to make regular Republicans and regular conservatives look like a bunch of lunatics".

Later, in discussing the network's current state, O'Reilly calls Dobbs CNN's "on-air renegade."

Watch as Bill teases Bernie's segment by trying to hide laughter upon uttering the words "Lou Dobbs Obama birth certificate controversy."

Well, Obama did continue the controversy. He could have killed it at any time by producing the document. I have no idea *why* he insisted on doing it, but it's a fact, and it has nothing to do with 'privacy', this was a cold calculated political maneuver.

@GovernmentSham912 False. The term used for a birth certificate by the State of Hawaii is a Certificate of Live Birth. In essence, Hawaii state law considers the Certificate of Live Birth actual, legitimate proof that he was born there. This means that as far as any court is concerned, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, and is therefore, legally according to US law, a natural born citizen.

@oneromantic Of course he was born as a British subject. His father was a citizen of British Kenya. US immigration law does not recognize dual citizenship. In practice, this means that the US considers any US citizen with dual citizenship a US citizen, and does not recognize the other citizenship. A person with dual citizenship does not somehow automatically lose his/her American citizenship. As for Nixon, the GOP got busted for burglary, there's no legal basis on "removing" Obama. Sorry.
