Rebels For Change spot

This is a spot advocating change on the campus of the University of Mississippi, both in official policies and just traditions in general. Many racist relics still remain on the Ole Miss campus, one example being football crowd chants such as "The South Will Rise Again." Rebels for Change wants to inform and influence people in a positive way to help separate Ole Miss from these bad traditions.

@leebaseball11 Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, and Missouri all were Union states during the war who maintained the institution of slavery. The Emancipation Proclamation issued by Lincoln was written to not apply to these Border States. Missouri and Maryland abolished slavery during the war, but Kentucky and Delaware still kept the institution until the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment in December 1865. Learn your lesson Boy; don't bring a knife to a gunfight.

hey there i actually attend the ole miss games so ya let me inform you what really goes on. We are not a bunch of whites screaming racial slurs left and right. We have a very diverse student section and even the black students yell the cheer. Also the civil war was not about slavery it was about state's rights seeing as how there were union states who still had slavery. So shut up u angry people u dont know anything about this issue racism is gone ,there u go.

yes some groups have put a bad image infront of the flag but that doesnt make it a racist flag. the ku klu klan also uses the american flag which i guess that makes the american flag racist to. but people who use flags in bad ways are just assholes. cause the confederateflag doesnt mean racism nor does the american flag. they both stand for no hatred at all.
