@ONEshotRAIN Amateur astronomers like me dislike light pollution because it makes it impossible to observe the night sky (unless your looking at a the moon or a few bright planets). If you have been to a rural area far away from the city and look up, you will see what I mean.

people are so caught up with our materialistic lives that we are completely losing that connection with the cosmos that all living things once shared.

I am removing a street light from my property , because i could not see the stars. I was ignorant to this until i became interested in astronomy.

I hate light pollution in my area, I can't see Andromeda or the milky way because of it, I can just see 17 stars ,jupiter and the moon.

Yeah, turn off ALL the lights so people can't drive and millions of people die... Hmmmmmm that sounds smart. Fucking stupid hippies that take "pollution" seriously, even when it's really not pollution. Fucking seriously people what the fuck?
Beautiful. if there was less light pollution, people would be less interested in pop culture garbage and more interested in the skies above. Light pollution goes much deeper in my opinion. I think people would build stronger bonds if they all looked up at the stars more often. It's a strange, strange world we're living in, yet it's so simple.
