Pregnancy is a wonderful time in most womens lives. Whether expected or unexpected, theres a certain amount of joy that comes with bringing a new life into the world. However, many women are also plagued with many pregnancy symptoms throughout the forty week process. Pregnancy symptoms range from mild to severe and can change depending on the stage of pregnancy.

Morning sickness and pregnancy nausea are the most common complaints women have during pregnancy. Typical of the first trimester, or first thirteen weeks of pregnancy, morning sickness can occur only in the morning, only at night, or for some unlucky women, pregnancy nausea can be present all day long. Although it usually ends after the first trimester, pregnancy nausea can come and go throughout the entire pregnancy and sometimes it can be triggered by certain smells or certain foods.

Morning sickness can often begin before a woman even realizes she is pregnant even before a missed menstrual period. Morning sickness can sometimes be the first indication a woman has that she might be pregnant. Morning sickness can begin anywhere between conception and the second trimester of pregnancy. In rare cases, it may not begin until the second trimester, but for most women, pregnancy nausea begins to wear off at that point during pregnancy.

What Does Morning Sickness Feel Like?

Morning sickness is different for every woman. For some, its a mild feeling of nausea, while for others, it means vomiting several times each day. Many women experience pregnancy nausea without ever actually vomiting. In some cases, a woman may feel fine until after eating or until smelling a certain smell. Morning sickness symptoms include nausea, vomiting and even a very sluggish, weak feeling throughout the body.

Morning Sickness Remedies

Luckily, there are several natural morning sickness remedies which help to alleviate many of the pregnancy symptoms that can make pregnancy uncomfortable. Morning sickness remedies that have been around for centuries are often quite effective in reducing pregnancy symptoms without the use of medications. Ginger is one of the oldest remedies for an upset stomach and it can be very effective in reducing nausea. Many people suggest eating a few saltine crackers before getting out of bed in the morning to reduce the feelings of nausea that can come on suddenly when you stand up. Keeping some dry crackers on hand throughout the day is a good idea to help alleviate some nausea that may occur periodically. Vitamin B6, available in pill form over-the-counter, is also a natural remedy some claim is beneficial for reducing pregnancy symptoms.
