"Peg O' My Heart" is a popular song written by Alfred Bryan and Fred Fisher. It was published on March 15, 1913 and it featured in the 1913 musical "Ziegfeld Follies". The song, performed by Max Harris and his Novelty Trio (based on a version by The Harmonicats), was used as the theme of the BBC miniseries The Singing Detective (1986).

Recording Engineer Bill Putnam Sr. was the first to use artificial reverb creatively on a pop recording with the use of the first reverb chamber (the studio bathroom!). Funny coincidence, I also sang my parts in my bathroom: the white door behind me is in fact... my bathroom door.

Also check it out this fine three-harmonica arrangement of "Peg O' My Heart", performed by the Harmonicats:

LYRICS:
Peg O' My Heart, I love you
Don't let us part, I love you
I always knew it would be you
Since I heard your lilting laughter,
It's your Irish hear I'm after.

Peg O' My Heart, your glances
Make my heart say: "How's chances?"
Come be my own, come make your home in my heart.
Just a dream of love...

Peg O' My Heart, I love you
Don't let us part, I love you
I always knew it would be you
Since I heard your lilting laughter,
It's your Irish hear I'm after.

Peg O' My Heart, your glances
Make my heart say: How's chances?
Come be my own, come make your home in my heart.
In my heart!

  • I think maybe he meant "that's sharp" as in "that's super cool" or "far out, man!"

  • @wendys120 I don't think so, but thanks for trying. ;-)

  • @ringwoodisbest All natural.

  • @trudbol So, please answer my question: all natural, or pitch correction enhanced?

  • @ringwoodisbest If we had used pitch correction, we'd be pretty bad at it if the result was too sharp, wouldn't we?

Just take a moment to watch our other videos and hopefully you'll change your mind.

  • @trudbol It almost sounds as though pitch correction is used.

  • @ringwoodisbest What is?

  • Man, that is too sharp.

  • this is my favorite of your videos keep up the excellent work ill be a fan :D
