Promotional video for the New York Times bestselling book Notes Left Behind written by Brooke and Keith Desserich. It is a inspiring story about a 6-year-old girl's fight with DIPG brain cancer and the lessons she taught her parents. But rather than about the cancer, it is an uplifting story about appreciating the smaller moments in life and learning to see your children as heroes. www.notesleftbehind.com

  • I read about this girl in the newspaper, and i had to start to cry into my coffee. <3 :(

Losing a child is the most cruel thing that can happen to parents and i feel soo sorry for them all. But on the other side, they have something what many parents who lose their children doesnt't have. Something, that teir child left behind, jut for them.<3

  • Its just one of those things in life that is simply not fair.. the fact a sweet and inspiring little girl had to go through this to show how delicate life is makes you appreciate the tiny things in life you do have. Rest in peace Elena.<3

  • while feeling the joy of a MAJOR breakthrough 4 DIPG research this week, a friend reminded me that a key funding source, the National Institutes for Health, is under assault in the US budget debates: H.R. 1 will cut NIH funding by $1.6 billion (5.2%) – cut the budget for medical research to $29.4 billion– back to 2008 levels roughly. I used this site to tell the US legislators what I think: Act Now to Protect Research! links to action can be found via research!america dot org
