I see that you care very well for you Dackel:).

But please give them a big pillow..so they have place to sleep.

    Dackel are special..don't they?

    Thank you and God Bless!

  • 2:37 it winked! LOL

  • @theplunkman 02. When I was a teen we acquired what turned out to be a 28 pound standard red male; he was about as fine a dog as anyone could ever want, and yes, the spirit of the hunter was quite strong in him.

Looking back over this, while "Wouzick" was a delightful companion animal I couldn't help thinking how much happier he would have been running more loosely and freely in a country-environment rather than being fenced in on a half-acre for our own amusement and ultimately, vanity.

  • @theplunkman I am not being hateful at all; the Dachshund is, after all a small hound.

One of the things that makes Dachshunds such delightful and amusing companion animals is that they do have the spirit of the hunter in them; it is such a delightful dichotomy in such a small and cute breed.

If you "Google" "North American Teckel Club" you will find a website that deals with this in a totally matter-of-fact way; there is nothing lurid with "blood 'n' guts" on this website.

  • @SatchmoSings HATER!!!

  • gief milllllllk

  • Watched the birth of these cuties and it was really helpful in knowing what to expect with our first litter of Dachshund puppies. Love the updates as they got older too. Thanks so much!

  • This is all well and good but remember!

The Dachshund is a hound breed and as cute as they are, by temperament, they are capable of tracking and even killing small game; the same goes for Beagles.

Two very cute looking breeds that everyone likes but they do have an underlying fierceness; beware!

  • the one at 0:22
