Thank you. These are the things that need to be said, and repeated again and again, until the Masters of War finally hear them.

I humbly disagree. Yes, art bears witness, but it does much more. It offers hope, it expands creativity and heart. If your work touches just one heart, one soul, to a heart bearing peace, you've touched possible universes. Peace.

Thank you for this my friend. Perhaps your art can help us stop fighting the wars in our hearts. Peace.

I'm sorry to say I agree with Auden that art changes nothing--all it can do is bear witness.

I heard this song sang at WWI veteran Harry Patch's funeral (6/8/09), so decided to look it up on here, but listening to it whilste reading your 'placard poems' makes it so much more poignant, so many wasted lives, so much misery, will anyone ever learn anything from these wars??

Thanks, friend--we learn nothing, forget everything, and do it again.

Ray....You are truly gifted. Having fought in the war,I'm a bit conflicted. This doesn't mean I approved of 'nam,in fact I left the Army on returning home. Nine years down the drain ! Ah well, before I digress, let me restate, your work is the most professional on utube.

I hear you, Michael, but I think we're on the same page--USAF (Ret.), 1948-53. Appreciation and praise are always good to hear, but especially from someone who has been around the block. Many thanks, good buddy!
