A little diddy i recorded with my warwick corvette.....

its the bubinga standard only with active pickups and a pre-amp with 2 band EQ....sound is coming out of an Ashdown 180watt combo amp and into a digital mixer into computer...and cant forget the "marcus miller fat beams", greatest bass strings ever.

just some straight improv finger funk and slap happy stuff.

  • Do you find the fat beams easier to play on your wick then nickel strings?

Also whats your action like low?

  • yeah fat beams are hella easy on the fingers

action is pretty low but not as low as it could be...a nice balance between playability and unnecessary buzzing

  • hey man awsome job flawless technique, im goin to have to try out those fat beams, the warwick emp coated strings are burning holes in my pocket. your a big fella it looks like your goin to eat that bass how tall are you?

  • lol, im around 6' 5"

  • Great, man. I also love my Warwick corvette

  • hahahahaha! ur tall man! imagine u playing a guitar, haha

  • @apc467 completely different sounds, not comparable imo.

  • how do you get that tone?

  • Very cool. Thanx for sharing.

  • bubinga wood gives out a really thin tone - a good thin, to me the tone sounds pretty good :)

reminds me when zender still used the streamer haha

  • Good point. I could not figure out what seemed odd about the vid until I read your post

  • There are some great fenders out there. The main problem with them is even in the american made ones you can pick up two 'identical' basses and one will be beautiful, the other will be it's ugly twin. Warwicks just tend to be no nonsense good construction consistently. That being said I'd drop any of my warwicks for a real 62 jazz. :)

  • tell that to marcus miller
