Now this is a man I'd vote for.

We need more people like you :(

For those of you who want the Scavelli's (the owners of GSVS) to be allowed to adopt Patrick, help the cause by emailing AHS at ahscares.org (slash) shop (slash) contactus.asp.
AHS wants to retain permanent custody of Patrick to use for fundraising. They have already copyrighted his name and image. The Scavelli's want to adopt Patrick as a family pet. I think the difference is clear.
Thanks!
(I am not associated with GSVS; I just care about Patrick)

@shamus9999 -- And to Mayor Booker -- fine sentiments and a good start. But the no-kill movement leaves the ugly prison environment in place. This is where Shelter Revolution's innovative ADOPTION CENTER model changes the prison into a true marketing center.
If you want to guide Newark in a new direction, then use this new model as a flagship for all others to follow. The Adoption Center is a fun place to visit where animals shine! See Shelter Revolution on Facebook...
If I could make a suggestion, this new, state-of-the-art shelter should follow the no-kill paradigm. The usual current paradigm at animal shelters of "adopt out a few and kill the rest" is left over from the late 19th and early 20th centuries and we need to move on. No kill requires a commitment that a shelter be a safe haven for needy animals, not a killing field, and has been proven to work time and again at various shelters here and there around the country.
