What would really help is if it were even bigger. You want a trail truck to be as ridiculously big and heavy as possible.

I've got a 1987 with the 350. I don't know a whole lot about engines, but the truck is a monster. It's got a huge brush guard on the front that was on it when we bought it, and when I'm on the interstate in it, people get out of my way. And it screams after I get it up to about 75. Defening. I love it.
