Dear Henry, as an engineer I find the very basic physics far more interesting than all that quantum bullshit. This is because with basic physics (mechanics and electromagnetics) I can create mathematical models of common problems occurring in every day life. With basic physics I can be a scientist in my own home. I cannot study atoms in my livingroom to verify if my calculations are correct or not.

what u people int he US study in the first year of college, we ,the indian students of standard 12 had already studied that. just saying,,,no offence here ..:D..but still we lack the practical knowledge as u guys have in ur school years

I had no idea that stuff wasn't taught in public highschools I knew most if not all of the things you listed by the sixth grade. At least half in the fifth.
