Postgame performance of "Bandstand Boogie" by the Michigan Marching Band on October 9, 2010. The "Boogie" was composed for American Bandstand in 1954 and later adapted by Barry Manilow, whose version used heard as the Bandstand theme song from 1977 to the close of the show. This arrangement was by MMB director Dr. Scott Boerma.
Actually, this was the Bandstand theme going all the way back to the 50's.
It was a big band/swing style tune, and Barry Manilow put lyrics to it in the 70's and the now iconic version of the song that everybody remembers began being used in 1977.

Is there any way to get my hands on this arrangement for my band?
