Niggers(Lynch The N Word)

Jonathan The Webmaster of http://www.newblackmusic.net and spoken word poet and hip hop lyricist Kamal were both thinking about the same thing when Kamal recieved Jon's call. The negative use of the N Word by us all and how it was getting out of hand. It culminated in Kamal's no time to waste trip to Fort Green Brooklyn from Englewood NJ to assist Jon in getting the word out that we need a reversal of the careless use of the term Nigga/Nigger!

Words only have the meaning you attribute to them. Just as the term 'bad' has evolved to mean 'cool,' the 'n' word has evolved to have a different meaning to certain people. In my opinion, KamalSupreme is trying to live with the old definition of the word. I believe this divides us all. Every time a white man has a complaint about the word cracker, every time a black man has a complaint about the 'n' word, etc., it distances us socially. Can't we all just get along?

You don't throw away your history. The Jews say "Never forget" but we should forget? I don't think so.

@cipherkam I don't even know my ancestors history and I don't care. What they did or how they were done to has no relevance in my life. I think people should try to forget their differences. If we all complain about how somewhere in our familial history our ancestors have been wronged, what do we accomplish? Nothing. We should look toward the future and not toward the past.

BTW I have not forgotten the slave trade, but I have heard the "n" word used in a positive connotation many times.

@GuanabanaGanja Things are much better for minorities, but we are still not equal to Whites, not in the judicial system, real estate, public schooling, etc. You may not have oppressed anyone in your time, but you still reap the benefits from the oppression of your ancestors. The slave trade will always be relevant, because you have many African Americans who are mentally slaves. And why do people think knowing your history and learning from your history is living in the past?

@GuanabanaGanja Are we really equal? About half of white teenagers arrested on a drug charge go home without being formally charged and drawn into the system. Only a quarter of African American teens arrested on drug charges catch a similar break. African American youths are more likely than whites to be charged, tried, and incarcerated as adults.

@Thatmakessense356 And could you explain to me the positive connotations the “N” word could ever be used in? There is nothing positive about Kike, Spic, Wet Back, Micks, etc., just like there is nothing positive about the “N” word. Also, how your ancestors were done has everything to do with you. After slavery came Jim Crow/segregation which my mother’s generation endured, our generation aren’t slaves physically, but mentally we really are.

How could you say you don’t care about your ancestor’s history? Those who came before you have paved the way so that you don’t ever have to go through some of the hardships that they had to face. Fuck history, Do we live in the past? No, we live in the present and that is what we should be focusing on. Forget the slave trade, it is no longer relevant in todays society. I am white, and have i in anyway opressed you? No so stop living in the past. We are all equal now and that is all that matters.
