Animal agriculture is directly or partially responsible for many of the worlds most serious environmental problems- global warming, water use and pollution, massive energy consumption, deforestation, loss of biodiversity and species, as well as the deep impact of fishing on our oceans. Reducing or eliminating the consumption of animal products is one of the most powerful ways an individual reduce his or her carbon footprint.

Great video backed up with facts...it's clear that a plant based diet is best for you, the animals and the environment, it's a win-win-win.

It's so obvious, I don't understand why people don't get it. Are humans really that stupid or just selfish?

Farmers are just trying to make a living, give us another option and we'll continue to feed the world.

Your video is very informative. I am totally against factory farming for the sake of the animals and the environment. I don't eat pork or red meat and the chicken, milk & eggs I purchase are certified humane. People who consume a lot of meat should look at videos of factory farms & slaughterhouses. If they have any compassion, they'll understand why we need to reduce our consumption.

blackman666ful - 666 is a good name for you. This reasoning is so flawed it is staggering! Eating meat is NOT eco friendly. Unbelievable. LISTEN to this.

What i'm saying hear is that unhealthy foods are used to control population. So when looked at from that aspect meat indulgence could be considered to be part of a green lifestyle. Now,for vegans or people that are eating healthy, who are likely to have longer lifespans, they can be considered as a threat to the population increasing which is why there is more convenient access to unhealthy foods.I don't advocate eating meat but eating meat is eco friendly.

My theory is quite morbid LOL but I think governments realise there are too many people on earth.. but since 'medicine' brings in tons and tons of money for the economy, better off reducing the population through promoting unhealthy eating (and lying about health benefits) than making life-saving medication and surgeries illegal. Right? Just my opinion lol

    bullshit.

If you dont consume them, they arent in need, demand goes down, and farmers stop producing SO MANY cows/livestock. Less consumtion = less animals. It'll take a while to get us back to a normal amount of livestock again, but we need to START somewhere.

I prefer to eat a responsible diet with ethical meat and as much local/organic produce as possible. Also, the carbon footprint is only part of the benefit of supporting local food production weather it be meat or veg. Dealing in this kind of absolute dogma pushes the masses away and only serves to reinforces their stereotypes of us "tree huggers"
