If you add alittle moisture to the mix going in it helps to both keep down the amount of dust and it makes a more uniform, larger size pellet i.e. less waste / rerun.
As armstronggetto also said above, the mill has not had time to reach optimal temp yet so there will be more dust / crumbles.
I don't know this by making wood pellets, but I have made THOUSANDS of TONS of poultry feed at the mill where I worked while I was going to college.

@danapted Not at all. You stated that on your web site yourself. I must say that I do have much respect for what you have accomplished. So far I am just a dreamer.
