@liseylou24 to clarify though, i don't mean to be contrary or demeaning. different people live under have different circumstances is all i am trying to say.

@liseylou24 I have to agree with Got2hvanimpala on this one. Where I live, cats are used to keep critters away from the house. Some of those critters carry nasty diseases that I certainly do not want near me or my family. I love my cats, but they most certainly do serve a purpose. They aren't there just to pet and play with. It is similar to owning a chicken to eat scorpions, if you live in a desert.

Take the bell off the cat. How annoying would it be if everytime you moved, you heard that annoyance right by your ear.

Bad joke,have'nt slept in 33 hrs.Sorry.
The bell is on the cat to warn the native wildlife. It is irresponsible to let domestic (introduced species) to hunt the native animals. All responsible cat owners put bells on their cats.

@liseylou24 I'm not sure how it's irresponsible, it's in a cats nature to hunt, and i'd rather have my cats kill squirrels, mice, and other rodents then have the rodents cause infestation or disease not to mention it's part of the natural life cycle. I'd say cats should kill native animals it's better than having an over abundance of those rodents that carry all types of nasty bacteria. Unless you really have a soft spot in your heart for rabid animals that is.

@Got2hvanimpala Native wildlife are not vermin. Certainly not where I live. Introduced species of animal are vermin. It is everyone's job to maintain the natural ecological balance of our natural environments. This includes not allowing domestic (introduced) cats to eat native animals.
