When Gibraltar Apes Attack...

Observe the Barbary Apes found on the Rock of Gibraltar; cute, playful, energetic, and fearless sum them up quite nicely...however, as I learned first-hand on my June 2006 visit to "The Rock", the apes aren't above involving humans in their little game...as you see, there are the obvious signs "Don't feed the apes" and "Don't touch the apes", but nowhere is there a sign saying "Apes may pounce on tourists at any time"...Fortunately I unwittingly turned my camera on as the ape in question hopped on my shoulders, capturing the audio of the whole incident, ...I didn't realize I had caught it on film until after I had returned home to the US and reviewed the footage...what a shock that was!

I know this guy who is married to the sister of a man who works here, and he says that they give these monkeys food containing some sort of experimental performance-enhancing drugs that make them strong as fuck and batshit crazy. He says he once saw two of the monkeys pick up a grown man and drag him halfway up a tree. Something needs to be done about this shit, else I am NEVER going to Gibralter. Seriously.
