Aatankwadi Uncle

A Hindu husband and wife pair are quick to judge their strange new Pathan neighbor after the loss of
their son in the 26/11 attacks. But their 7 year old daughter Minnie holds no bias against the gentle
Afghani and a fast friendship blooms between them. All is well until the paranoid mother takes matters
into her own hands.

Afghans are not a different race than us, the Indians.

In fact the undivided India was upto Afghanistan (touching the border of Iran) but Britishers could never conquer The Afghans (just like they could never conquer Nepal and Bhutan) so after independence, Afghanistan was not a part of India or Pakistan. Otherwise Afghans they are our own brother and sister.

Great Movie. Great acting by Sakshi Tanwar, Ronit Roy, Little girl and gentleman playing Rehmat Khan. Very touching story about a fearful and paranoid mother....
