  • Dear Natyadasi!thahks for good words and your critical comments! it is very useful to us.besides of irish dancers we have some joint composition with hip-hop dancers and so one.for people it's more easy to take in indian classical tradition in fusion compositions, but after that they want to see our traditional dances. So we achieve our purpose and show wide audience indian classical dance. We regulary make concert programms and perform only traditional choreography our Guru Vempati C.Satyam.

  • well, it's a matter of taste. I like both the styles but performed separately. I'd like to stress the fact that I'm not against experimentations in the dance field, but I must say that, from my point of view, mixing different styles is often a bit "dangerous" and is not such an easy thing to create beautiful choreographies.

Anyway I must pay hommage to the russian dancers....you have such a great dance tradition ranging from ballet to folk dance, congratulations!

  • I not agree with you, Natyadasi! May be result was not so good, but idea was good! Idea of this fusion was to show how kuchipudi, being ancient classical form of dance, can use any dance tradition and be topical nowadays.

  • Yes good effort but the result is not. Althought they are all well trained dancers (also the irish dancers costumes were beautiful, while in another video they were too simple compared with the richness of the kuchipudi costumes) the two styles are too different. Irish music doesn't have anything to do with the kuchipudi adavulus: performing kuchipudi steps on an irish jig is a clear strain.

  • This song is called "Et l'on n'y peut rien"

  • What's the name of the song and artist who sings it? At first I thought the lyrics were French but then I saw that the event took place in Moscow and so might be in Russian. Anyway, please tell me about the song. Thanks!!

  • Awesome, but why did you cut off before it was finished?

  • Looks cute though :)
