  • the only thing that matters is that the current residents of the planet all have awesome jobs working for large companies and six bedroom homes and SUVs and huge juicy steaks for dinner and lots of roads and freeways and large TVs to watch TV preachers at night who will give them hope for the future.

  • I hope this guy lives long enough to see the massive human suffering that is going to result from global warming.

  • @drkstrong I agree, "it was the (psuedo-)skeptics" was the point I was trying to make. Personally I prefer the term AGW because it accurately describes the phenomena and clearly seperates it from natural variation.

  • @Tapecutter59 It had always been climate change in the science world - IPCC - what do you think the CC stood for? Global warming became the popular term after a paper entitled "Climate Change: Are we in for a prolonged period of global warming?" was published in 1975.

Luntz did have the Bush whitehouse insist that all government documents use the term climate change but the way the guy in the video said it was meant to sound like the pro AWG theory group had changed it. It was the skeptics.

  • @drkstrong It was Frank Luntz's idea that the Bush Administration start using the term climate change rather than global warming to (in his words) "emphasize the lack of scientific certainty".

  • There has been no cooling in the last decade - it is the warmest on record!

The name was not changed from global warming to climate change.

(look at th eguy's face tot he right of the speaker, with a huge grin as it if to say "Yeah, I know that's a lie but lets keep using until the dolts catch on.")
