I travelled down from Middlesbrough to London with some friends to see this gig I waited years to see them and i'm glad I did but it's very upsetting now that we've lost Alex.

I was at this gig! The one and only time I saw Alex live, but better once than never. I remember it had been a good few years since Big Star had played in England, allegedly because Alex, being an astrology nut, believed for several years that bad luck awaited him there!
Anyway, I was there with my then-girlfriend - "Thirteen" was one of our favourite songs together, and to be in the same room as Alex singing it is a privilege I'll never forget. RIP Alex, thanks for the music!

Great gig...would say to anyone if your a BIG STAR fan, catch them live if they are over here again in the future....this one of my favs...
