Andy Cummings (1913-1995)

He is one of my favorite hapa Hawaiian music composers. He composed my favorite song "Waikiki". Here he is singing a song called "Royal Hawaiian Vacation". video circa 1987

Yeah, "Waikiki" was voted one of the greatest Hawaii songs ever written. I'm pretty sure I've seen a video clip of him doing it around here someplace....so much to see, so little time eh?

Nora Cummings "Aunty Red" use to tell me stories about Uncle Andy, and how

proud she was of him. I see this vid, and it takes me back to the early 70s. I feel I've finally met him. Thanks for the post.
