@efxman your comments re: Krull are spot on. It still holds up as a great movie 30 odd years later. The cast featured some big names (eg Liam Neeson) and the story was epic. However, it was the soundtrack that made it.

Beautiful playing for a beautiful song. Krull was such an obscure movie back in the 80's that almost no one knows of it,. Sad because I always enjoyed the film even though it had an extreme cheese factor in many cases. But it also has some of the most vibrant and powerful scores written for the day. Riding the Fire Mares comes to mind as another piece from that film that really drives the point home. Thank you for sharing. "James Horner Fans Unite!!!"
