@leinster47 wouldnt really suit the theme because fallout 3 is set in the apocolyptic world of the 1950s a couple of centuries later and this song was made in the 20s

I know the original recording was from the 1920's. Was this version from the same time? Sounds like this version is from the early 30's... Is it an original recording or is it something mixed for the movie? Thanks...

This recording was a rejected outake, alternative to the commercially released version, recorded in 1947.

Jolson first recorded the song in 1925 - Interestingly, it being one of the first recordings he did by the then new electric recording system.
The version used in this video wasn't the one released, but, instead, is an outtake from the same session, in '47.
The released version was used in the film "King Kong" and in "Richard III"
