Last night New York's Jada Yuan went to the premiere of the HBO movie Recount, starring Laura Dern, Kevin Spacey, Bob Balaban, and Ed Begley Jr. The film relives what happened during the highly intense battle that took place between the day of the 2000 contested presidential election and the final decision by the Supreme Court that declared George Bush president. In the above video, see what Dern thought of being cast as Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris, how one Daily Show writer would have rewritten the ending, and just how difficult a butterfly ballot can be.

  • you began your work on my lips as the floor became the stage I grasped then released you from a deep well of longing & need our slow rhythm gave way forcing our way to the peeks of bliss to urgent demanding thrusts of passion & I glowing like an ember still hot & burning of hot quickening breath as you growled my name from the back of your throat kissing me as I was filled with you was more breathtaking than you knew each giving to the other
  • I can't believe this was a made-for-tv production. The strength of the script and the professionalism of the actors (especially the stellar Laura Dern as Katherine Harris) made this film better than 95% of the rubbish that can currently be seen in any cinema.

  • Google Jeff Fisher Peace on Earth Forever and everyone please take it to the streets and all try to come to Philadelphia USA and fill the city up by the millions of protestors and peace lovers.

Spread this posting everywhere. Albert and I want to say thank you again to HBO.

  • it was on british telly last weekend, missed it, i was out. ah well, i've been following the series American President for well over a year now, two hours about Bush v. Gore 2000 will have to be another day.

  • I just watched this on the telly... which is confusing me... :|

    Great movie though, really interesting.

  • Incredible movie! I was so stoked to finally get it through Netflix after not knowing for a while when it was going to be released. I hope in a year or two some states would be ready to show it in specialty theatres. It truly deserves that and more! And that's from someone who actually went through it in Palm Beach (was too young to vote but supporting everyone at events across the state)! I'm glad to see it at least got a grand premiere, go down in history and rock on rock ON!~!
