Night elf players adapted to Orc's aggressive Blademaster style by closing their tree line with moonwells to shield their lumbering wisps from being attacked by the Blademaster. Wisps block, although it makes all your workers "invulnerable" to melee attacks, it has disadvantages too by blocking wisps from repairing if the wells are too close, this same problem also occurs if the Orc plays windriders to harass the wisps, because of this NE players adapted the "Human style" base to repel the dreaded Blademaster

CEG08 is where SK.Lyn found a weakness in this particular base build BET.Check utilizes. Because he was able to get his Blademaster inside the base of Check, he was able to take down a Moonwell, and break the mine as well as force a TP from check. This more then equalized the early teir 2 assult by Check, Lyn would be able to get away with all his grunts using only a speed scroll

if you try this in your own games, try using a teleport staff to get away easy, doing this to human is less viable because of milita

  • there is a new version of this "break-in" now, Lyn used it on ReMinD in the Korean battlenet ladder finals/qualies for blizzcon, rather then using a grunt as collision he drops an item to force the blademaster thru, its much more "stealthy" to do so and allows you to break-out of the block as well

  • look at the minimap, the elf player's army was at the orc base to cancel t2 buildings/kill burrows.. if the orc did not "break-in" using windwalk and the grunt to "glitch" between the well/tree the wisps repair would've made the orc assult useless compared to the huge delay the elf put on the orc's teir 2 buildings

  • Not a bug.

When the Blademaster exits out of Wind Walk, he's placed to the nearest available spot.

It's just a matter of an internal 'dice roll' that decides whether Blademaster gets placed inside or outside the base.

Notice how Lyn carefully places the grunt nearer to the Moon Well to increase the odds in his favor.

  • Fuck you BM.

  • i guess this is why this game is outdated... pro strategies are based upon the shoddy engine of wc3.

  • bug

  • that reminds me of the rabbit glitch of super mario 64

  • @MyVestigeAro U know when i can find a replay of those matches ?

  • Lyn is a beast... He dominated Focus with a similar thing. He dropped an item to get his blademaster in to Focus's base on Twisted Meadows. He then proceeded to dominate Focus in 7 minutes.

  • damn so fucking smart! :D
