  • The idea of a depth jump (drop jump) is to increase RFD, thus the ground contact should be as quick as possible. If you land and "plant" your foot "flat" you will lose stored elastic energy and compromise the use of the SSC, this will also make it less specific to the demands of most of sports. These are good plyometric exercises but be careful of training the wrong movement. Also Consider whether you are intending on training the Fast or Slow SSC!?

  • @Kirky1909 I'm aware, but some people are not ready to do depth jumps. the drop jumps in this video are a step toward that. I do have a depth jump video

  • @lordvoldemort578

yeah, they are very effective if preformed correctly

  • @gangsterninja100 I want to Incorprate Speed Bounds Into My Plyometric workouts Maybe Something Like 4x30 meters Or something that would take tenths of a second off of my dash.Do you think speed bounds are effective enough?

  • @lordvoldemort578

wat u mean is it ok? any improvement is fantastic!

  • @gangsterninja100 I know I hafe to lift and sprint But Im Just asking is it ok to get from a 4.7 to a 4.4 or 4.3 Just off of Plyometrics?

  • @lordvoldemort578

its not very high intensity. If u jump on, then drop off the box and then jump off of the ground as hard as u can once you hit it is much more intense.

  • @gangsterninja100 IS THIS HIGH INTENSITY

  • @Spljofo

no, u can do two legged exercises and also 1 leg

  • Im one foot jumper,do i need to exercise much more with one leg jumps to increase my vert?
