The PTUA boarded the 1.18pm Saturday bus from Holmesglen to Chadstone on the 903 Smartbus route. The journey is painfully slow, as shown here in this video.

The 1.8km journey was completed in 13 minutes, an average speed of 8.5 km/h. While the 700m from Holmesglen to the Monash Freeway was completed at 4.2 km/h.
The PTUA wants full priority for buses around Chadstone to keep people moving. The 1.8km journey from Holmesglen to Chadstone should take no more than 3 minutes, while the 2.1km journey between Chadstone to Oakleigh should also take around 3 minutes instead of the current 11 minutes.

I could say the same thing about the cars, yet a buss carries 4x more people and is only twice the size.

But bus priority would slow the cars down! It's much more important to make sure the one or two people per car don't get stuck behind the 30 or 40 people on the bus!
