What a sad display of ignorance. They make the foundation of everything, Lailaaha Illa Allah -- to accompany an innovated -- not sanctioned in the Shariah - acts. Where is the Guidance of the pure Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (sallalahu 'alaihi wasalam) who gave a sincere advise:
"You must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties, for every novelty is an innovation, and every innovation is an error." - Sunan Abu Dawood
