required by law? law and ethics doesn't matter in this country anymore. how is testing on animals ever helped the cosmetics company? before stating 'facts' do your OWN research.

covergirl doesn't test on animals anymore....only when it's required by law

Cover girl tests on animals? thats sad

I am throwing away every CoverGirl product I have, and will never buy any CoverGirl cosmetics ever again. I only support cruelty free makeup, and this company is not.

Basically, to sum this up, Covergirl tests on animals. Weather it's required by law or not, they still do it. But they are investing alot of cash on finding alternatives, so you have nothing to complain about. They are doing all they can! And you lot, don't tell me you have NEVER used a cosmetic product that has been tested on animals. I mean come on. Yes, I am against animal cruelty but Covergirl are doing all they can! And i'm Briish and I prefer Covergirl than Rimmel!

Get over it covergirl. Unless you change your cruel ways, your American girl market is going to go straight for your British competitor Rimmel. They're the MODERN drugstore queen.

Well Rimmel, body shop and H&M have totally eliminated animal testing. If you wanna where make-up use a brand tht doesn't support animal cruelty! Its doesn't matter if covergirl uses animal testing when required by law, because Animal testing IS Animal testing no matter how you twist and turn it!
Thank you for your comment. CoverGirl does not test any of its products on animals, except when required by law. We'd like to eliminate animal research on ingredients in consumer products altogether, and we're making progress. We've invested over $200 million in alternatives, making us an industry leader. We're also working with the FDA and respected animal welfare groups, such as the Humane Society of the United States, to work on reforming regulations and validating alternative methods.
