Jazz Organ clip

Just experimenting with my Dig. Camera. I didn't prepare anything, I just sat down and played some Blues, always a great place to start on Organ (I didn't even play a head, lol). The sound is probably not that great since it's just my little camera. But, hey it was fun for me!

ok so i play jazz piano but im in a situation where there isnt a competent bass player so im kinda being forced to deal with the organ. Im getting a little bit at it but not much. I was jus wondering what kind of things u worked on to keep your left hand walking while soloing

Sorry that you are in that situation if you're being forced into it. You just need to practice walking bass lines a lot and always concentrate keeping the time with your left hand. Piano players sometimes make the mistake of trying to play everything they want with their right hand and making the LH secondary. Your primary concern is the groove. Play what simple ideas you can execute and still swing, the more and more time you play organ the more free your RH will become.
